PLAN FOR PROSPERITY FOR GOD’S CHILDREN

After God created heaven and earth and everything in it and on the sixth day, He created a man (Adam) for a purpose. God needed someone to worship him because He can not worship Himself and God need someone to give names to the things He has made. God saw that before He can achieve His aim there is a need for Him to give in order to win man’s heart to obey Him. God gave Adam all things on the earth to have dominion over them. Genesis 1: 26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”. God did it to set example for Adam that if he want to increase (prosper) there is a need for Him to give in order for Adam to prosper in all ways.

I believe that Adam accepted or learnt from His maker that if he wants to get on well there is a need for him to give what he has. God created everything in pairs but as for Adam no sweetable partner for him. God saw there is a need to make someone like Adam but Adam must give. I believed that there was discussion between Adam and God. This may be the discussion: God may asked, Adam, now that you need a helper what will you give for me to produce out of that? Adam may say, I would give one of my ribs. Adam well said. God put Adam into deep sleep and took one of his ribs and made a woman for him. Adam woke up and saw the woman and said this is the bone of my bones and a flesh of my flesh. Genesis 2:18-23 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

So you see, since creation of the world God has laid the principle there for prosperity. When we talk about prosperity is not only to have enough money but to have life abundantly. God gave everything to Adam and look at the number of people that is calling upon His name and look at the number of people God is producing through what Adam gave. Jesus gave His life to save us from our sin and look at the number that He has won and called His name in the world today. The plan of prosperity is sowing and reaping.
I earlier wrote a message on prosperity and its said there are two system of the economy in the world. The devil system (gathering and collecting, Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit. ) and God system (sowing and reaping). The devil system is all about I am working for money I have to do all that I can and make money but God system is about money will work for me and money will worship me, money is my servant, I lived because of Him.

I am going to use a farmer as an illustration of God plan for prosperity. II Corinthians 9:6-15 “But this I say , He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give ; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things , may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 1Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men ; And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

A farmer is someone that sows so he/she needs seeds to sow. If you can not sow God will not give you seed because you will only waste it. When God gives seeds to the farmer to sow, he/she sow it willingly and because he/she believed Him, who gave him/her the seeds will give it in abundantly when the harvest time comes. What ever we give we must do it with all our heart for God will to be done in our lives. When a farmer wants to plant, he/she plants good seeds and look forward for the giver to give him/her good seed to plant again. We must also plant good seed into others lives for God to increase our seeds. After sowing (giving) we must wait patiently for God to give us another seed. Bear in mind that we give because we already have. A farmer always plant in fertile soil. In the same way every Christian must know where to sow. The Bible says we must help the poor and the needed ones but we should help the believers mostly because we are the fertile soil (salt) of the earth. Planting into a believer life God will give you more abundantly for you to sow again. I am not saying that we should not help unbelievers but helping them is like borrowing to God and God will pay you back. When we talk about sowing is a different thing all together, one need good seeds (your last money, food, clothes etc is a good seed that you are having), soil, and good seed back to sow.
Let me bring your mind back to Africa, in those days that I was with my mother. When we harvest maize we select good maize and preserve it with smock so that when the planting time comes we will get seeds to sow. we may go hungry but the maize that my mother keep there would not be touched. When I was young I did not understand why she has been doing so but now the eyes of my understanding have open. My mother needed good seed to plant and have seeds to sow in the next season that is why she has been doing that.
Some are in the habit of saying I don’t have so I can not give. Let me be frank to you even the little that you have will be taken from you because you are not ready to sow what you have and you don’t believe your provider that He will give you to sow again. If we as a Christian practice the devil system by gathering and collecting, sickness or problems will come upon us and we can not come out of it and hopefully we will spend all that we have and become poor.

God has made a plan for our prosperity and you have to move in it and increase in all ways. Put this in mind that God has no plan for the receiver (you can only make him/her smile and glorify God) but the giver (he/she will receive a lot from the store house and protection). We are getting to the end of the year (2009) make someone smile, happy, rejoice, worship God for what He has give him/her. Please the little that you have give part from your heart, invite someone for dinner, buy a bag of rice for someone, cloth someone and put the devil into shame that we have someone greater than him that always provides for His beloved children. God principle about prosperity is about giving what you have but not what you don’t have in order for Him to replace what we have planted more for food and to sow. What ever you have now God will make it increase if and only you will obey and sow it out as he purpose for His people. You will never like bread, he always provide for His children who are submission.
God will always provide, Amen
